How do I request a prescription refill?

You can request a refill through PetDesk for in‑clinic pickup, or you can place an order through our online third‑party pharmacy (Covetrus) for home delivery. Please note that in‑clinic refill requests and online pharmacy orders are processed separately. If your pet already has refills on file, in‑clinic requests are typically ready within 24 hours. If no refills remain, approval may take up to 48 hours as our team reviews your pet’s medical history before authorizing the medication.

Can I order medications online?
Yes, we offer access to a trusted third‑party online pharmacy where you can order medications, preventatives, and prescription diets. These products are not supplied or shipped by our clinic, but the service provides convenient home delivery while maintaining veterinary‑approved standards.

Does my pet need an exam before getting a prescription?
Established clients may request medication refills, but if we have never seen your pet before, an exam is required before any prescriptions can be approved. For short‑term or non‑chronic medications, we typically require that your pet has had an exam within the past year, though this may vary depending on their specific condition.

What if my pet needs long-term medication?
For pets on long‑term medications, we keep you informed about when exams or bloodwork may be needed for future refills. If your pet already has refills on file, those prescriptions are pre‑approved and do not require an exam or bloodwork. However, if no refills remain, an exam and/or bloodwork may be required before we can authorize additional medication.
